Summary

Aviva has partnered with Crowdfunder to support small charities and community groups with innovative ideas that benefit their communities and are looking to raise up to £50,000.

Grant Purpose

The Aviva Community Fund is a program that aims to support local causes and help them build stronger communities across the UK. They believe that by caring more about communities today, they can help them create a better future tomorrow.

Building stronger, more resilient communities across the UK: that’s what they are striving towards at Aviva, and it’s how they will continue to help small charities and community causes.

Aviva know the causes that make the biggest impact are those that are given the opportunity to test innovative ideas and explore new sustainable strategies without fear of risk.

That’s why the Aviva Community Fund backs the clever ideas that move communities forward and provides these amazing causes with vital support and resources.

Aviva will match each donation you receive up to £250.

This means that if someone gives £5, they will double it to £10.

If they give £250, they will match it, so the cause gets £500.

Organisations can receive up to £50,000 in match funding and eligible causes can apply at any time.

Please note that the Aviva Community Fund will only match one donation from a unique supporter.

This means that if the same person donates twice, only the first donation will be matched.

Additionally, there is a cap on how much they will match, so if someone donates £40, it will be matched pound for pound, but if someone donates £400, the match funding will only be £250.

Funding areas:

1. Financial Wellbeing: helping people take control of their wellbeing by giving them the tools to be more financially independent and ready for anything
2. Climate Action: Promoting healthy, thriving communities by preventing, preparing for and protecting against the impacts of climate change

If your Organisation’s core mission is aligned to one of these key funding areas, then it is also acceptable for your Project to be fundraising to cover your Organisation’s usual operational costs.

The live match funding will start from the date your project goes live (if your application has already been accepted) or the date that your application is accepted if you apply while your project is live. The maximum time your project will receive match funding for is six weeks from the start of the match funding, as per the Aviva Community Fund Terms and Conditions.

Once your project is live, you can showcase it to the wider community to raise public donations and make your project as successful as possible. All donations will be match funded by Aviva (subject to Terms and Conditions) and will count towards your target.
