Every day across the UK, sport is used as a tool to improve health, to teach life-skills, to connect people and to strengthen communities. To be eligible for funding, your organisation must be using sport or physical activity to achieve one or more of the following outcomes:
You can only apply for one grant per organisation.
Applicants must demonstrate support to one or more of the following underrepresented groups; people living in areas of high deprivation, women and girls, people from racially diverse communities, people living with disabilities, and individuals from the LGBTQ+ community.
They will prioritise applications from organisations that operate in and support people from areas of high deprivation (Indices of Multiple Deprivation 1-3).
Funding offered is flexible, and we want to hear about the work your whole organisation does. The grant is unrestricted, meaning you can use it for anything that will help you. Typical examples of costs might include a contribution towards:
Their Arts, Poverty, Marginalised groups and Mental Health themes are delivered through their main programme. Their environment theme is delivered through their partnership with The Wildlife Trusts, so please take their eligibility quiz to see if one of these programmes would be more suitable. If the core purpose of your organisation is around one of these themes, please apply to these programmes instead.
If your income in your last financial year is under £25,000 you can apply for their Groundwork programme instead.
