Small Grants Programme

The Small Grant Programme is open from 1st to 31st August 2026, and the focus is on projects in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland that support people, particularly those with physical or learning disabilities, to access the natural world and spend time outdoors.

Different categories of priority for funding are identified for each funding round.

The categories that will receive priority for funding are as follow:

• Relief of hardship
• Care for the elderly
• Education and youth development
• Environment and conservation
• Human physical wellbeing

The trustees will only support:

• Registered charities that have been operating for longer than 24 months, who are based in the UK.

They will not fund:

• Places of worship
• Museums
• Palliative care
• Animal welfare
• Bodies affiliated to a national organisation, unless they are a separate charity

Between £500 and £2,500

They have two Small Grant funding rounds each year – in March and August – and each will have a different focus on one or more of the Trustees’ key areas of interest.

Applications submitted in their August 2026 Small Grant funding round will be considered at our Trustees’ meeting on 21st October 2026.
