Introduction:

Like many counties, Lincolnshire has a shortage of foster carers and Lincolnshire County Council’s fostering service is actively recruiting.

The fostering community in Lincolnshire provides carers with outstanding training and support including guidance if you are interested in becoming a foster carer.

These online events are where you can find out everything you need to know about how to become a foster carer.

During these online sessions, their friendly team will cover

  • What is fostering?
  • The different types of foster care that you could choose to do (from a few days respite care to a permanent, long-term placement)
  • The training and support they will offer you
  • The financial rewards and other benefits you can expect as a valued foster carer
  • The children who currently need a foster home (and what they need from you)
  • The practical requirements necessary to become a foster carer (things like having a spare room)
  • You’ll hear about a child’s experience of foster care and the difference you could make to a child’s life
  • How to apply and how quickly you can become a foster carer

Plus you will have the opportunity to hear from one of their experienced foster carers and there will be lots of time to ask questions at the end of the session.

Who Can Become a Foster Carer?

Lincolnshire Fostering welcome people from all backgrounds to become foster carers. What truly matters is your ability to provide a safe, supportive, and loving home for children in need.
