Birchwood Pride in Place

Residents in the Birchwood area of Lincoln are set to benefit from a major new initiative, with the community selected to receive an investment of £20 million over the next ten years through the government’s Pride in Place programme.

The initiative will support improvements that matter most to local people, helping to strengthen communities, enhance neighbourhood spaces and create new opportunities for residents.

Do you live in Birchwood and would be happy to share with us what you like (or maybe dislike) about Birchwood, what changes you would like to see for the better or what you think the community needs?

We would also be interested in hearing the insights and opinions from anyone who works for and within the community of Birchwood.

Questions you could consider when giving your views include:

“What do you like about your community?”

“What would you miss if it was no longer here?”

“What would you like to see changed?

“Do you see a way this could be changed?”

“How do you think you could help with this?”

“What do you hope to see in the future?”

You can easily give us your views on Birchwood by following this link to the online Microsoft Form.

There are no more than 10 questions, and it is all about your opinion and what you would like to see change.

No personally identifiable information is asked for other than gender, age and ethnicity.

There is a Birchwood Pride in Place drop-in event taking place at the Co-op Food Store on 24th October where you can go along and find out about the programme and have the chance to offer your views.

The money will be spent by the community! Decisions relating to the programme will be made at a local level, by the Neighbourhood Board for Birchwood made up of residents, so this is your chance to have your say, or find out more.

Come along to the Birchwood Halloween Craft Session and make pumpkins, monsters, skeletons and ghosts.

This is completely free, and all materials are provided.

Please note that parents must accompany their child/children.

Our gallery showcases what our team have been up to and often features our very own 'Tates the Teddy Bear' who goes along to help the team out at the events we attend throughout Birchwood.
