Are you feeling lonely, isolated or perhaps have suffered a recent bereavement?
If you do, then come along to the Boston Men’s Shed and join them for a chat and a coffee or tea.
Men that attend are of any age, some retired, some not working for various reasons or at a loose end, some struggling to cope, others wondering what to do in life with their time.
Some might feel isolated, alone or just plain bored.
The Men’s Shed provides companionship. A place to meet and talk about whatever is important to you.
They also use woodwork to make items for local charities and the community. You may have a skill that you can share and help them to enhance the items that they make.

Here’s what one member said “Since my wife passed away, I found being lonely really awful. If it wasn’t for my daughters, I hate to imagine what would have happened to me. One of my daughters discovered Boston Men’s Shed and suggested I give it a go. Since then, I have regained my confidence, made friends and found a purpose in life. And most importantly I no longer feel lonely or isolated.”
The Boston Men’s Shed meet on a Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am to 2:00pm and sometimes 3:00pm depending on need.
You can find them at Unit 6, Lealand Way, Boston, PE21 7SW.
Boston Men’s Shed are looking for able bodied men who would like to come along to their charity who havs woodworking skills, or who are ex-carpenters and who would like to volunteer their services. They have a backlog of orders for planters, etc that they would like to get done.
You will be shown the process and benefit from joining a group of like-minded men who share camaraderie and banter, so if you have some spare time during the day, and would like to do something meaningful, please get in touch with them by calling Steve on 07742 233256.
