What is the Core20PLUS5 Programme?
Core20PLUS5 is a national NHS England approach to support the reduction of health inequalities and identifies ‘5’ focus clinical areas requiring improvement.
The approach, which initially focussed on healthcare inequalities experienced by adults, has now been adapted to apply to children and young people.
The information below outlines the Core20PLUS5 approach for children and young people.

NHS Lincolnshire would like to get feedback and hear the thoughts of children and young people who have asthma.
This includes topics such as
- the information they receive and the support they get to help manage their asthma
- their knowledge about everyday things that might make their condition worse, such as the environment or activities they participate in
- where they go to for information and advice
This is crucial in ensuring the services they receive are improved, and issues they face are addressed.
CVS Lincolnshire has been brought in to facilitate the gathering of this feedback which will then be shared with NHS Lincolnshire.
What are we Doing to Support Core20PLUS5?
We are going to be gathering feedback in a variety of ways from children and young people with asthma – this might be through schools, children’s groups and support organisations, as well as other local contacts.

How can you get involved?
If you would like to provide feedback by answering a few simple questions, please follow this link to our online form or get in touch with Jane Smith (see contact details below). Please note all information collated will be anonymous.
How Can the Core20PLUS5 Programme Help Me?
Your feedback is important in helping NHS Lincolnshire understand how asthma affects you and your everyday life and how they can improve their support to you.
