From Monday 2nd December 2024, there is a DBS charge price increase in order to meet the increased operational costs of delivering the Disclosure and Barring Service’s safeguarding service.
As Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) is a registered umbrella body for the Disclosure and Barring Service, it is important for us to make you aware of the new charges.
As a partnership, all our offices provide DBS checking services.
Please be aware that our own charge for providing this service remains unchanged.
Depending on whether you are a voluntary and charitable organisation or if you are any other type of organisation, the price will vary on what you will pay for a standard or enhanced DBS check through us.
The new DBS charges from 2nd December 2024 are as follows:
Please note that if you need a volunteer standard or enhanced DBS check for a voluntary and charitable organisation, there is no DBS charge.
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is funded by the fees paid from DBS check customers, and therefore fee changes can be required to meet the increased operational costs of delivering DBS’ safeguarding service.
Each DBS check has its own price that is designed to cover all costs of that specific check, and each check’s fee is scrutinised separately.
These changes are necessary to maintain the highest quality, to allow DBS to effectively safeguard our society.
You can get more information on prices for having DBS checks carried out by us, by following this link to our DBS services web page, or feel free to contact us for more information on our DBS checking service.
