GLAD Study

Introduction:

The Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) Study is looking for participants to complete an online questionnaire and postal saliva sample to help them better understand the genetic links to anxiety and depression.

This is a vital research study that Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust are supporting in Lincolnshire, aiming to deepen understanding of the factors which influence anxiety and depression symptoms to become better equipped at treating them

The study is inviting people who have experienced symptoms of anxiety and depression as well as those who have not.

Who Can Take Part in the Survey?

To take part in the GLAD Study you must either:

  • Have never experienced any mental health disorder
  • Have ever experienced anxiety or depressive disorders (with or without a medical diagnosis)

AND you must:

  • Be aged 16 or over
  • Live in the United Kingdom

So, as long as you are over 16 and live in the UK, you are able to support them in improving their knowledge and understanding.

How do I Access the Survey?

To find out more, register your interest or complete the questionnaire, please follow this link to the GLAD Study website.

When you sign up: Please select ‘YES’ when it asks “Did you hear about the GLAD Study through any NHS Trust’.

Then choose  ‘Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust’.

After completing the sign-up form, the study enrollment process consists of the following four steps:

  • Reading the Information Sheet
  • Providing consent
  • Completing the questionnaire
  • Providing a saliva sample
