Nominations Open for Lincolnshire Sport and Physical Activity Awards 2026

Introduction:

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Lincolnshire Sport and Physical Activity Awards, delivered by Active Lincolnshire in partnership with Lincolnshire Community Foundation.

The annual awards celebrate the incredible people and organisations across the county who are making a real difference through sport and physical activity. They highlight inspiring stories of how movement can transform lives, improve health and wellbeing, and strengthen community connections.

This year’s programme includes nine award categories, with new additions for 2026, offering even more opportunities to recognise achievements across Lincolnshire. Individuals and organisations can nominate themselves or others through a free and simple process that takes just a few minutes.

Three finalists from each category will be invited to attend the awards ceremony later this year in Lincoln, where winners will be announced.

Sue Fortune, CEO of Lincolnshire Community Foundation, said:
“We’re proud to support these awards and celebrate the people and organisations making a real difference through sport and physical activity across Lincolnshire. We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to submit a nomination and help recognise these inspiring efforts.”

Emma Tatlow, CEO of Active Lincolnshire, added:
“I’m thrilled to see the return of these awards for 2026. It’s a fantastic opportunity to recognise those who inspire others to be active and improve lives.”

From dedicated volunteers and inclusive clubs to inspiring coaches and individuals who have transformed their own lives, the awards recognise a wide range of contributions helping people to be more active, more often.

Last year’s finalists and winners showcased a diverse range of impactful stories from across the county, reinforcing the powerful role physical activity plays in improving lives.

Nominations are now open and are free and quick to complete (a few minutes) to individuals, volunteers, organisations, clubs, and programmes. Self-nominations are also allowed.

Closing date for nominations: Friday 31st July 2026

The awards ceremony will take place in Lincoln later in 2026 and finalists will be invited as guests.
