Stuff to Borrow

Introduction:

Stuff to Borrow is run by Earthlincs and is a ‘Library of Things’ facility for the people of Lincoln, (a community resource) where members can borrow tools and other items.

It operates very much like book libraries: tools and other equipment can be hired on a weekly basis for a nominal fee.

The facility will:

  • reduce the amount of items we buy
  • declutter our homes
  • encourage a sharing community ethos
  • reduce waste & CO2 emissions, helping our Planet as we save money.

Members can hire a wide range of items through a membership scheme at a reasonable fee. This will encourage community sharing and make a small but important contribution towards preserving the earth’s resources.

How the Scheme Works

It’s simple. You sign up for £1.00 and can borrow any of their items for a small fee for a week.

Items available to borrow range from DIY to gardening to party supplies.

Can I Donate?

Yes they accept donations of items that are in good working order and are no longer used and they are also looking for volunteers who are willing to donate their time. These are regular two hour slots on volunteer rota – currently on Saturdays.

Opening Times and Location

Open for drop-off and collection every Saturday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Find ‘Stuff to Borrow Library of Things’ at Mint Lane Wellbeing Hub, 12 Mint Lane, Lincoln, LN1 1UD.
