Sue Ryder Grief Kind Spaces

Introduction

The Sue Ryder Grief Kind Spaces are weekly, in-person drop-in sessions that are held in the local community and run by trained volunteers.

These sessions provide a safe, informal and supportive place for people to come together and share their experiences of grief, helping attendees to feel heard and less alone.

Who Are The Sessions For?

The sessions are welcoming, inclusive and open to anyone who is over 18 and has experienced a bereavement, whether you want to attend regularly to connect with others in similar situations or just drop in for a quick chat.

Grief Kind Spaces is not a counselling service and attendees seeking more formal support will be encouraged to follow this link to the Sue Ryder website to use their existing Online Bereavement Counselling Service or other support services.

Would You Like to Volunteer?

Sue Ryder are looking for volunteers in Holbeach to facilitate a new Grief Kind Space at The Tonic Health Club.

These spaces are facilitated by trained volunteers whoc support the space on a rota basis, so volunteers would need to be available for a couple of hours, roughly twice a month.

No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given to support people in a group setting and to facilitate compassionate conversations.
